was born in 1955 and spent his childhood in Titusville, Florida, on the "Space
Coast." He was fortunate enough to watch all the Apollo launches to the Moon from a distance of about 5 miles across the Indian River. At the age of 17, he joined the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, for a period of 2 years. Following the Army, he returned to Bloomington, Indiana, where his family had moved back to when he was in the service. Russ went into sales, and yearned to interact with Humanity on a higher level than selling them things, so at age 37 he attended college to earn a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy. Since graduation in 1997 at the age of 42, he has worked as an Occupational Therapist in Long Term Care settings until retirement in September of 2017 at age 62.

the brain dies, every part of a person died with it, an eternity of
unconsciousness. However, on August 18, 2009, while mowing his grass, he had a
heart attack along with a near-death experience that revealed the underlying

pursued research into the so-called "paranormal" in an attempt to understand exactly what happened to him that day, and over the years came to some rather shocking conclusions that are elaborated in his 2016 book,
"Overlords of the Singularity: The Manipulation of Humankind by Hidden UFO Intelligences and the Quest for
Transcendence." Russ has since appeared as a radio guest on several formats
